Poor choice of medium

The music and story behind this 'game' would be better suited to some sort of animated graphic novel.

Their is no game here, you just hold the move right key.

shame this game was so short though. I find the water levels really hard, the controls just seem wrong to me. I think it is because of the way the guy rotates, i try to turn relative to him, rather then when i press the d key i move the right of the screen. im thinking more my guy will rotate right

TO be fair, I'm not to sure what exactly to say about this 'flash' submission.

At the end of the day, all you have really submitted is proof that Alchemy can indeed run C code seemingly natively through flash. I would love to here what you made of the actually using this Alchemy though.

I wonder just how graphically intensive you can make a game, and I wonder if you can use things like openGL... if so I may try to 'flashing' a few 3D games I am currently working on. I never did get that far with flash AS, so I am really liking the way Alchemy is turning out.

I dont know why, but I just HAD to finish of the game, even though it jsut kept on going, which is a good thing.

this truely is a butifal bit of flash.

I think the best looking level was the water level... so tranquil.

The dragon jsut dose not respond to the controls in a way you can get used to.

I know you are testing this, but why? What is their to test?

At the very least you could of had a proper tutorial in their, even if it was somthing simple.

But what wsa their did look very swish, i have to give you that. If the tuorials are as good as they look like they might be, this should be fairly good.

but still, why waste NG server space for this?

I was testing the graphics quality, and the preolader for when it's submitted to NG, becase when i view it of my computer, it's all higher, because i don't have to download anything.

few things though that would be nice to see in the sequal.

the dood, he could do with being a bit stiffer. He jsut flops araound all the time, and it gets kind of iritating when he just will not stop flapping like a spastic.

the webs! Just amazing this was! there are times though when the game fixes it down in the wrong place, it dose not spoil that game, but it looks a bit odd when u have a point of the web that is not stuck anything but thin air!
It would also be realy cool if you could stick the web to the web, thus letting you play around a lot more with it.
may be have the abilatiy to shoot the web out, so that you can then swing across gaps.
And if you do do that, then have the web only get longer when you hold down a key, so you can drop down with much more grace

some sort of primative level diseign would be fun, so that you can set out an area to play in, or maybe just have some free paly levels. this will also help people get to grips with the controls, which are jsut awsome once you get used to them.

I feel that the wasd keys dont play the much of a feture in the game, so if it would help performance to get rid of them, i dont think they will be missed.

you definutly have to do a save feture, my broswer crashed jsut as i go to the level where you have to swing acros the gaps, which was not fun!

as far as i am concerned, there is nothing wrong with this game, just things that could be added in to make it that little bit better.

Do a bit of lots of things, such as flash movies and games. C++, moving on to 3D shits. Do a bit of photoshoping and ligthwave 3D modeling. Going to uni to do computer game technology, so hopefully you will see my name on games of the furture!
